New Jersey Youth Baseball ( NJYB ) has united with Rockland Baseball Association ( RBA ) and Westchester Baseball Association ( WBA ) to form::::

TRI- COUNTY BASEBALL LEAGUE

*Between the three (3) organzations all our teams will now be involved together as one league. We offer baseball from 8u thru 18u.

*Teams will play doubleheaders for all ages.

*There will be plenty of baseball for all teams no need to look elsewhere or pay for tournaments each weekend when you can play baseball every weekend,

*Teams will travel between Northern NJ to Rockland to Westchester and play a variation

*We will offer Play-offs and Consolation games at every age division

**Winning Team at each Division will recieve a Team Trophy and Medals for each player from 14u down. 16u and 18u Teams will recieve a Championship Trophy

NJYB will Follow the Pure Baseball Guidlines.

A few things have changed in the youth sports world that everyone needs to know and understand. As of 14 November 2018 the US Government has now signed into effect the Senate Bill 534 (SB534) this bill was drafted and passed into law after the incident happened with the Olympics. Every youth sport in the United States must now follow this.

You can google the SB534 Bill or you can go to the https://www.usabaseball.com/ web site and there you will find the requirements for Pure Baseball that we will follow for the 2019 season and on.

There will be a check list posted on the web site of all requirements that each volunteer must complete in order to participate in NJYB.

NJYB

New Jersey Youth Baseball is an independent league and governed by its Board of Directors. We believe in providing competitive baseball in a positive environment to all players and teams. The players are still children and our league is about enhancing their skill levels. Our program offers baseball for the ages of 8 to 18 year old’s.

We are affiliated to two national programs National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) and PONY Baseball. We also are affiliated to NY Federation Baseball (where NJ and NY teams compete against each other).

Seasons offered:

Spring League –

A)   Sunday League with flexibility of playing on other days if both Coaches agree

B) 11u thru 18u teams will play 2 games of 6 innings

8u thru 10u 2 game of 6 innings

C) 8-week schedule not including Mothers Day or Memorial Day weekend

D) Top teams make a single elimination play-off, all other teams get a consolation game

E) Team trophy to the Champion

Individual Medalions to the Championship team

Memorial Day Tournament-

A)   All teams guaranteed 3 games

B) Top 2 teams in each Division advance to Semi

C) Championship and Runner up teams awarded trophies

D) Winning teams receives a Bid to another tournament (tournament to be posted shortly)

Summer League –

A)   Flexible schedule, teams will play a 14 game schedule over 6-7 weeks

B) NJYB League Tournament for each age group. (Date TBD Mid July)

C) Advancement for the Top 2 teams by standings to a PONY tournament or NABF National Tournament. Bids are awarded, teams must pay own expensives (any team interested in advancing to NABF must notify NJYB prior to 17 June. Any team interested in advancing to PONY must notify NJYB prior to 20 June. (If you are interested in advancing to a PONY Super Regional you must follow the 30 August Cut -off date and not the 1 May date that NJYB uses) Suggestion if you are going to PONY you play up example if your team is 11u you play at 12u in PONY.

D) Team Trophy will be awarded to the Championship

Players of Championship team will be awarded a trophy for 14u and under

E) Winner of NJYB League Tournament will advance to the Federation Tournament held 26 July thru 29 July. These dates will not change unless in climate weather. Fees for Federation tournament to be paid by team advancing along with umpire fees. Winning teams will receive a Team Trophy and Hooded Sweatshirts.

·         8u Friendship Tournament between NY, NJ and PR teams(Rockland NY/ NJ )

·         10u BBL (Brooklyn NY) NY and NJ teams

·         12u Friendship Tournament between NY, NJ and PR teams(Rockland NY/ NJ )

·         14u (Staten Island NY)

·         16u PGL (Brooklyn NY)

·         18u (New Jersey)

F)   Rules Major League with moderations for each age level

Fall League –

A)   Sunday League with flexibility of playing on other days if both Coaches agree

B) 11u thru 18u teams will play 2 games of 6 innings

C) 8-week schedule not including Columbus Day weekend

D) Top 4 teams make a single elimination play-off, all other teams get a consolation game
